Fire & Salt
Fire + Salt is a collaborative project that brings together creative people from across Scotland and beyond, using food and fire as a way to express ideas, stories and craft. It’s a platform for artists, cooks, makers, writers and thinkers to step into wild places and share what they do through a different lens - one shaped by flame, landscape and the rhythm of cooking outdoors.

At its heart, the project is about connection: connecting people to nature, to their own creativity, and to each other. Each collaboration explores how individual stories, skills and backgrounds meet the raw elements of fire, smoke and salt.
The result is a series of thoughtful, expressive moments - meals, conversations, gatherings and pieces of work - that celebrate creativity.

The Wilder Kitchen & Bill Baillie
Bill Baillie and I collaborate to capture the wild landscapes of Scotland, combining our shared love of the outdoors, cooking, and storytelling. Our work is driven by friendship, freedom, and the simple joy of being outside doing what we love. Cooking in a primal, elemental way and immersing ourselves in the culture of the land forms the heart of what we do, and seeing people connect with these experiences is one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

Working alongside Bill, one of Scotland’s finest landscape photographers, is a true privilege. Together, we are always looking for new adventures, chasing moments that celebrate nature, food, and the human connection to both.
